The Italian competition authority has finalized an investigation that began in July 2025 regarding Federconsorzio Dolomiti SuperSki and twelve associated valley consortia. The investigation focused on potential violations of competition laws related to ski pass pricing and distribution policies.

Key concerns included the coordination of ski pass prices among the consortia and restrictions on selling ski passes through third parties. In response to these concerns, Federconsorzio Dolomiti SuperSki and the consortia have committed to eliminating any future coordination of pricing and distribution policies.

Additionally, they have proposed significant economic compensation measures for consumers who purchased ski passes during the 2022/2023, 2023/2024, and 2024/2025 ski seasons. This compensation totals €30 million, which includes €18 million in discount vouchers and €12 million in direct refunds.

Consumers will have the option to choose between a 30% discount voucher for future purchases or a direct refund of 20% of their previous spending. Furthermore, they have committed to maintaining certain promotions and discounts for the next five winter seasons, valued at approximately €20 million.

The authority believes these compensatory measures will mitigate any negative effects on consumers resulting from the alleged agreement.
