On April 7, 2026, the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) announced its approval of the acquisition of joint control over Vanertec by Sofindev VI CommV and several current shareholders. The concentration was notified on March 19, 2026, and the BCA confirmed that the conditions for applying the simplified procedure were met.

Sofindev is an investment company focused on private equity investments in small and medium-sized enterprises across the Benelux region. It has experience in various sectors, including digitally driven business services and logistics. Vanertec, the target company, is a holding firm with subsidiaries such as Elindus, an energy supplier, and Smart@Energy, which offers energy forecasting and trading services.

The BCA's decision indicates that the notified concentration did not raise any objections, allowing the transaction to proceed without further scrutiny.
