The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) has released its latest newsletter for March, summarizing important decisions in the fields of competition law, public procurement, and state aid. The newsletter also includes selected updates from Europe.

A significant focus of this issue is the proposed changes in competition law and public procurement, which the authority submitted for inter-ministerial comment at the end of March.

One of the pressing topics affecting the Czech economy is the crisis in the Middle East due to the war in Iran. This oil crisis has led to rising fuel prices, impacting competition. Kamil Nejezchleb, the vice-chairman of ÚOHS, discussed this issue in an interview with Czech Radio, which is also featured in the newsletter.

Additionally, the newsletter announces several events that ÚOHS will participate in, including the upcoming ICN Unilateral Conduct Workshop scheduled for next week in Prague.
