The Polish competition authority has recently completed an inspection of 15 models of infant sleep products, including cocoons, sleeping bags, and a Moses basket. The results were alarming, with 14 out of the 15 products found to have construction defects, and more than half exhibiting labeling errors.

The most common issues identified included excessively large openings in sleeping bags, overly long strings and threads, small components that could pose choking hazards, and a lack of necessary warnings or user instructions. These findings raise serious concerns about the safety and compliance of these products in the market.

Agnieszka Kowalska from the communication department of the Polish competition authority commented on the importance of ensuring that such products meet safety standards to protect consumers, especially vulnerable infants.
