On April 13, 2026, the Deveaux group notified the French competition authority of its intention to acquire exclusive control of Jacadi. After a thorough examination, the authority concluded that the acquisition would not harm competition in the retail clothing markets in France.
The Deveaux group operates in the ready-to-wear sector with brands such as Armand Thiery and Toscane, while Jacadi, owned by the IDKIDS group, focuses on clothing for babies and children. The authority found no overlap in market shares between the two parties, as they operate in different segments of the clothing market.
Specifically, Jacadi specializes in children's clothing, whereas the Deveaux group primarily targets adult clothing. This distinction led the authority to determine that the acquisition would not raise any competition concerns, resulting in an unconditional clearance of the transaction.
The decision, labeled 26-DCC-106, was officially made on April 28, 2026, and the full text will be available soon.
