The Polish competition authority conducted a safety inspection on 31 toy guns, launchers, and bows to assess their compliance with safety regulations. The inspection focused on various factors, including the kinetic energy of projectiles and the presence of small parts, as well as proper labeling.

Out of the 31 toys tested, 17 were found to have significant safety issues. These included construction defects such as faulty mechanisms for releasing projectiles and parts that could detach during use, posing potential risks to children.

Consumers are advised to ensure that any toy they purchase carries the CE mark, which indicates that the product meets EU safety requirements. This inspection serves as a reminder for parents and guardians to be vigilant when selecting toys for children.
