The Belgian competition authority has received a notification regarding the acquisition of joint control over Vanertec BV by Sofindev VI CommV and current shareholders, which may qualify for a simplified procedure.

On March 19, 2026, the Belgian competition authority's auditor received a notification of a concentration under Article IV.10, § 1 of the Economic Law Code. The concentration involves the acquisition of joint control over Vanertec BV by Sofindev VI CommV and several current shareholders.

Sofindev is a private equity investment firm specializing in buy-outs and growth capital for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Benelux region. The firm has experience across various sectors, including digitally driven business services, logistics, and supply chain companies in food, pharmaceuticals, construction, and niche manufacturing.

Vanertec BV is a holding company that, upon completion of the transaction, will have Elindus NV and Smart@Energy BV as wholly-owned subsidiaries. Vanertec is a Belgian energy supplier providing gas, electricity, and related services to businesses throughout Belgium, primarily in Flanders.

In accordance with Article IV.70, §1 of the Economic Law Code, the notifying parties have requested the application of the simplified procedure. The authority invites interested third parties to submit their comments regarding the proposed concentration, preferably by March 24, 2026.
