April 2025 Energy Market Overview in Estonia
The Estonian competition authority has released an overview of the energy markets for April 2025, highlighting average electricity and gas prices across the Baltic region.

According to data from the electricity market operator Nord Pool, the average electricity price in Estonia for April 2025 was €73.25/MWh. In comparison, the average prices in Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland were €77.37/MWh, €74.57/MWh, and €47.75/MWh, respectively.
Forecasts for future electricity and gas prices indicate that the highest expected electricity price will occur in the first quarter of 2026 at €89.10/MWh, while the highest gas price is anticipated in the third quarter of 2025 at €37.68/MWh.
The report also includes the average price of natural gas traded on the Baltic-Finnish gas exchange GET Baltic, which was €39.40/MWh in March, according to the Baltic Gas Spot Index (BGSI). Additionally, a comparison of electricity and gas package prices shows that, as of June 20, 2025, the most affordable electricity package was the market package with a disconnection fee, while the most cost-effective gas package was the variable price package.
