On December 11, 2025, the Belgian Competition Authority (BCA) approved the acquisition of exclusive control of certain divisions of the Client Service Center of BNP Paribas Fortis by Accenture Operations Client Services. This transaction was notified on December 8, 2025, and the simplified procedure was requested.

BNP Paribas Fortis is a Belgian credit institution that provides a range of banking services to various clients, including private individuals and companies. Accenture Operations Client Services, a subsidiary of the Accenture Group, specializes in providing business process IT services primarily to the banking sector.

The merger is expected to have both horizontal and vertical effects on the market for IT services, impacting various segments based on service functionality and customer sectors. The BCA found that the conditions for applying the simplified procedure were met and that the concentration does not raise any objections.
