Major tech companies designated as gatekeepers must submit updated compliance reports under the Digital Markets Act, detailing their measures and consumer profiling techniques.

06.03.2025 | European Commission DMA Unit

The European Commission's Digital Markets Act (DMA) requires designated gatekeepers, including Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, ByteDance, Meta, and Microsoft, to submit updated compliance reports by today. These reports must outline the changes and measures implemented over the past year to ensure adherence to the DMA's obligations.

In addition to the compliance reports, the gatekeepers are also required to provide independently audited reports on their consumer profiling techniques. The public versions of these reports will be made available on the Commission's dedicated DMA webpage, ensuring transparency and accessibility for interested parties.

The European Commission will conduct a thorough analysis of the submitted reports to evaluate the effectiveness of the compliance measures in meeting the DMA's objectives. This assessment will also take into account feedback from third parties, highlighting the collaborative approach to enforcing the DMA.
