The Czech competition authority, ÚOHS, has granted approval for a merger involving CREDITAS ASSETS SICAV a.s. and UCED s.r.o., enabling them to exclusively control a portion of NOVÁ HUŤ s.r.o.'s operations related to the local electric distribution network in the Moravian regions of Ostrava, Vítkovice, Zábřeh, and Hrabůvka.

This merger primarily focuses on the distribution of electricity. CREDITAS operates in various sectors in the Czech Republic, including banking, real estate, healthcare, and energy, with a specific emphasis on electricity and gas distribution for industrial enterprises, logistics centers, office buildings, and residential areas. The newly acquired infrastructure is expected to strengthen their position in the Ostrava region.

The authority assessed the merger through a simplified procedure and concluded that the transaction would not significantly disrupt competition in the market. The decision is final and binding.
