The Competition Commission released an Interim Report on its sector inquiry into the Waste Management and Recycling sectors in Greece, highlighting the importance of these sectors and the need for smooth operations.

The report maps the market, identifies potential distortions caused by companies' behavior or regulatory frameworks, and aims to stimulate dialogue for industry improvement.

The Commission has initiated a public consultation to gather feedback and invites stakeholders to participate in a conference at the Thessaloniki International Fair in September 2024 or submit written comments by the end of September 2024.

Following the consultation, the Commission will publish a Final Report based on the feedback received.
