The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) has granted approval for the ownership change of the bakery group PAC Hořovice, which is being acquired by Pecivál s.r.o. The transaction specifically involves the companies PAC Hořovice s.r.o. and Pekárna-cukrárna Hořovice s.r.o.

ÚOHS concluded that the merger does not raise concerns about a significant distortion of competition, and the decision is final.

Pecivál is controlled by Buca Capital s.r.o. and is part of a business group engaged in various activities, primarily in the production, wholesale, and retail sale of bakery and confectionery products, including fresh bread, rolls, and other baked goods.

PAC Hořovice also operates in the production and sale of bakery and confectionery products, while Pekárna-cukrárna Hořovice owns properties leased to group companies and controls MLÝN ČISTÁ, spol. s r.o., which is involved in milling and flour production for baking purposes.

The ÚOHS assessed the case through a simplified procedure and found that the merger would not result in a significant disruption of competition.
