The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition has granted approval for a merger under a simplified procedure. This merger will enable ALTAVIA TRADE a.s. to gain exclusive control over Scuderia SF Praha, a.s., Scuderia MC Praha, a.s., and Scuderia Praha Racing, a.s.
The merger primarily affects the wholesale distribution and retail sale of automobiles, related service activities, and motorsport. ALTAVIA is a holding company that does not engage in its own business activities but is part of a business group led by Mr. M. S., which is active in various industrial and commercial sectors, particularly in engineering, automotive, railway, aerospace, and defense industries.
Scuderia SF and Scuderia MC operate mainly in the Czech Republic, focusing on the wholesale distribution and retail sale of luxury and sports cars, authorized service activities, and spare parts supply, specifically for brands like Ferrari and Maserati. Scuderia Racing is involved in motorsport activities.
The competition authority approved the merger as it determined that it would not significantly disrupt competition in the market. The decision has already become legally binding.
