The Luxembourg competition authority has announced an open call for expressions of interest from competition experts to serve as a Non-Governmental Advisor (NGA) within the International Competition Network (ICN).

The ICN, established in 2001, is a private international organization comprising 141 national competition authorities worldwide. It serves as a forum for discussing competition law enforcement, aiming to promote convergence in competition laws and policies, as well as cooperation among enforcement authorities to enhance international regulatory effectiveness.

The selected NGA will work collaboratively with ICN members across five working groups focused on cartels, abuse of dominance, merger control, competition promotion, and competition agency practices. The position is for a two-year term (2027-2028).

Eligible candidates should possess strong knowledge in economics, consumer protection, or legal matters, and may include law or economics professors, corporate lawyers, legal clerks, economists, representatives of international professional organizations, or specialized attorneys. Relevant international experience in competition policy and proficiency in English (both oral and written) are also required.
