The Autorité de la concurrence has fined Chocolats De Neuville for restricting online sales by franchisees and hindering their commercial freedom.

The Autorité de la concurrence imposed a €4,068,000 fine on Chocolats De Neuville for preventing franchisees from freely selling online and prospecting business customers. De Neuville reserved exclusive rights to online sales from 2006 to 2019 and restricted franchisees' commercial freedom from 2006 to 2022. The fine is jointly imposed on its parent company, Savencia Holding, with a communication and publication injunction.
