The President of the Polish Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) has granted conditional approval for a concentration in the wholesale market of electrical articles.

The UOKiK has conditionally approved the acquisition of TIM, a Polish company selling electrical articles, by FEGA & Schmitt Elektrogroßhandel, a German company. The approval is subject to the sale of certain assets and the new owner ensuring the continuation of the wholesale business. The decision was made to prevent potential competition concerns in the regional market. The transaction was subject to notification due to the turnover thresholds set by Polish law. The decision is not final and can be appealed to the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection.
