From December 1 to 4, 2025, the Global Competition Forum and meetings of the OECD Competition Committee took place in Paris. The Croatian Competition Authority was represented by the Council President, Dr. Mirta Kapural, and independent advisor Tanja Vukov Željeznjak.
The collaboration between the Croatian Competition Authority and the OECD occurs biannually within the Competition Committee, where the authority has been a participant since June 2016. The Global Competition Forum includes all global jurisdictions, regardless of OECD membership.
During the December meetings, various current and complex topics in competition policy were discussed, including the impact of artificial intelligence on competitive dynamics in downstream markets, competition in the healthcare sector, and the enforcement of competition law in informal markets. Special attention was given to aligning competition policy priorities, conducting market research, and utilizing other market analysis tools.
Additionally, the experiences of competition authorities in applying artificial intelligence technologies, competition issues in AI infrastructure, and the alignment of credit regulation with competition law requirements in the banking sector were considered. The Croatian Competition Authority contributed a written submission and delivered an oral presentation on market research and other market analysis tools.
