According to data from the electricity market operator Nord Pool, the average electricity price in Estonia for March 2025 was €90.20/MWh. In comparison, the average prices in Latvia and Lithuania were slightly higher at €91.99/MWh and €91.98/MWh, respectively, while Finland had a significantly lower average price of €47.52/MWh.
Forecasts based on derivative instruments predicting future electricity and gas prices indicate that the highest expected electricity price will occur in the first quarter of 2026, projected at €94.77/MWh. Meanwhile, the highest expected gas price is anticipated in the third quarter of 2025, estimated at €39.63/MWh.
The overview also includes information on the average price of natural gas traded on the Baltic-Finnish gas exchange GET Baltic, which was €42.48/MWh in March, according to the Baltic Gas Spot Index (BGSI). Additionally, a price comparison of electricity and gas packages revealed that as of April 14, 2025, the most affordable electricity package was a fixed package with a disconnection fee, while the cheapest gas package was the market package.
