The Spanish competition authority, CNMC, has released findings from its latest Household Panel survey, indicating that mobile internet and phone services continue to be the most valued by consumers in Spain. The survey, conducted in the second quarter of 2025, shows that 63% of customers expressed satisfaction with their pay-TV services, while satisfaction levels for fixed-line telephony, natural gas, and electricity hovered around 55%.
Price dissatisfaction emerged as the leading concern for users across most energy and telecommunications services. Nearly 90% of households reported being unhappy with natural gas pricing, and 85.1% expressed similar sentiments regarding electricity costs. In contrast, for mobile internet services, the primary dissatisfaction stemmed from service quality (54.9%), surpassing pricing issues (47.7%).
The survey also highlighted that fixed broadband services attracted the highest number of complaints, with 9.6% of users reporting issues, compared to only 5% for natural gas. This data is part of a broader effort by the CNMC to gather consumer insights through regular surveys and analysis of service bills, covering various sectors including telecommunications, audiovisual, energy, postal, and transport.
