The Polish competition authority, UOKiK, is actively participating in the International Competition Network (ICN) by co-organizing the ICN Advocacy Workshop 2026, scheduled for March 16-17 in Yerevan, Armenia. This workshop aims to gather the ICN community to discuss various aspects of competition advocacy.

Key topics for discussion include the importance of competition advocacy in a rapidly changing global economy, building a culture of competition-friendly policies within public administration, leveraging new and emerging market trends through competition advocacy while maintaining competitive markets, and enhancing the capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises regarding competition principles.

Detailed information about the workshop and its agenda can be found on the official ICN Advocacy Workshop 2026 website. Additionally, another workshop under the ICN Unilateral Conduct Working Group will take place in Prague from April 15-17, and the annual ICN conference will be held in the Philippines in May, marking the 25th anniversary of the network.

UOKiK encourages competition law practitioners to engage in ICN working groups, with a registration form available online for interested experts. For further information, inquiries can be directed to UOKiK's International Cooperation Office.
