The Polish competition authority conducted an inspection of nine models of child safety gates, discovering that three of them had labeling irregularities. This raises concerns about the safety and compliance of these products in the market.
Out of the seven models tested in the laboratory, one failed to meet safety standards. The model in question had gaps and openings that posed a risk of trapping a child, highlighting the importance of rigorous safety checks for children's products.
Consumers are advised to carefully select and install safety gates according to the size of the opening where they will be mounted. It is crucial not to modify the structure of the gates and to thoroughly read the user instructions to ensure proper installation and safety.
