The Czech competition authority, known as Úřad pro ochranu hospodářské soutěže, has granted approval for the merger between EUC a.s. and PHF Rehabilitace s.r.o. This decision has already become legally binding.

EUC operates a network of 17 polyclinics and clinics across the Czech Republic, providing a wide range of outpatient health services, including primary and specialized care, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy.

PHF Rehabilitace offers rehabilitation and follow-up services through its 19 clinics under the OK Rehabilitace brand, located in cities such as Prague, Brno, and Zlín. The company was previously owned by the investment fund Potysz health.

The authority assessed the impact of the merger on the provision of rehabilitation services, particularly in the regions of Prague, Ústí nad Labem, Brno, and Zlín, where both companies operate. It concluded that the combined market share would not exceed ten percent in any of the local markets and that strong competition exists, indicating no negative effects on competition.
