The Latvian competition authority, known as Konkurences padome, has initiated a public opinion survey in collaboration with market research firm SIA 'RAIT Custom Research Baltic'. This survey aims to gather insights on the authority's operations and competition law policies.
Stakeholders including businesses, municipalities, legal firms, associations, and residents are encouraged to participate. The results will help improve the authority's operations and external communication, making information on competition issues more accessible and understandable for the public and businesses.
The authority emphasizes that the survey is anonymous, ensuring that no identifying information will be requested from respondents. Sensitive personal data such as bank details or authentication information will not be asked during the survey.
The survey will be conducted both online and via telephone, targeting over 500 Latvian residents aged 18 and older, along with 100 businesses, 25 associations, 25 municipalities, 25 legal firms, and 100 clients of the authority. It will run until October 31, 2026.
Results will be analyzed in aggregate form and used for the authority's analytical needs. The feedback collected is crucial for understanding changes in public attitudes and experiences, as well as for comparing opinions with previous survey results.
