On July 28, 2026, the European Commission released its 37th annual report on the protection of the financial interests of the European Union and the fight against fraud (PIF report) for the year 2025. This report comprehensively assesses the entire anti-fraud cycle, from prevention and early detection to investigation, prosecution, enforcement, and reporting.

The PIF report is prepared annually in collaboration with member states and outlines measures aimed at strengthening the protection of the EU's financial interests at both the EU and national levels.
