The Lithuanian competition authority has approved DHL eCommerce International Holdings' acquisition of Venipak companies in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, concluding it won't harm competition.

The Lithuanian Competition Council has granted clearance for DHL eCommerce International Holdings to acquire 100% of the shares in Venipak Lietuva, Venipak Latvija, and Venipak Eesti. This acquisition allows DHL to take sole control of these companies operating in the Baltic region.
The merger notification was submitted on September 14, 2026. After a thorough assessment, the Competition Council determined that the merger would not create or strengthen a dominant market position or significantly restrict competition in the relevant markets.
DHL eCommerce International Holdings is part of the larger DHL Group, which provides domestic and cross-border parcel delivery services across Europe, the United States, and parts of Asia. Prior to this merger, DHL had no business operations in Lithuania.
Additionally, DHL Lietuva, linked to the holding company, operates under the DHL Express division, offering both express and non-express delivery services. DHL Logistics Lietuva, part of DHL Global Forwarding, focuses on international freight transport and logistics, utilizing local subcontractors for freight transport in Lithuania.
The Venipak companies are engaged in parcel delivery, freight transport, and contract logistics services across the Baltic states. The merger was subject to notification and clearance due to the revenue thresholds set by the Competition Council, which were met by the involved parties.
