On August 20, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Competition Authority, in exercise of the power conferred upon it by paragraph d) of No. 1 of article 19 of the Statutes, approved by Decree-Law No. 125/2014, of 18 August, resolves to adopt a decision of non-opposition to the concentration operation, under the terms of paragraph b) of No. 1 of article 50 of the Competition Law, since it is not likely to create significant obstacles to effective competition in the national market or in a substantial part thereof.

Portuguese Competition Authority Approves Merger Without Opposition

On August 20, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Portuguese competition authority, known as AdC, made a significant decision regarding merger operation 59/2025, referred to as ACO II / Transfor.

 Utilizing the powers granted by the relevant statutory provisions, the authority resolved to adopt a non-opposition decision. This means that the merger is not expected to create significant obstacles to effective competition within the national market or in a substantial part of it.



Portuguese Competition Authority Approves Merger Without Opposition

The Portuguese competition authority has cleared the merger operation 59/2025, determining it does not hinder competition in the market.
