The Slovenian competition authority is calling for applications for the Slovenian Competition Day, scheduled for October 14, 2026, from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Best Western Premier Slon hotel in Ljubljana.

This year's event promises a rich professional program, with Sir Ian Forrester KC as the keynote speaker. Forrester is a recognized expert in European law, particularly in competition law, and a former judge at the General Court of the European Union.

Two roundtable discussions will focus on corrective measures in company concentrations and the effectiveness of implementing the EU directive on unfair trading practices. Speakers will include leading representatives from the Slovak, Czech, Croatian, and Austrian competition authorities, as well as officials from the Slovenian Agricultural Chamber, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the European Commission.
