On May 28, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Competition Authority, in the exercise of the powers conferred upon it by paragraph d) of paragraph 1 of article 19 of the Statutes, approved by Decree-Law no. 125/2014, of 18 August, decides to adopt a decision of non-opposition to the concentration operation, under the terms of paragraph b) of number 1 of article 50 of the Competition Law, since it is not susceptible to create significant impediments to effective competition in the national market or in a substantial part of it.

Portuguese Competition Authority Approves Iberis-Dourogás Merger

On May 28, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Portuguese Competition Authority (AdC) issued a non-opposition decision regarding the merger between Iberis SCR and Dourogás Natural, which also includes Dourogás Líquido.

 This decision was made under the authority granted by the relevant statutory provisions, specifically paragraph d) of paragraph 1 of article 19 of the Statutes established by Decree-Law no. 125/2014, dated August 18.

 The AdC concluded that the merger does not pose significant obstacles to effective competition within the national market or in a substantial part of it, allowing the companies to proceed with their consolidation without further regulatory hurdles.
