New Appointments to the French Competition Authority Board
Xavier Blanc has been appointed as a non-permanent member of the Board of the Autorité de la concurrence, while Muriel Lacoue-Labarthe has been reappointed.

The French competition authority has announced the appointment of Xavier Blanc as a non-permanent member of its Board, effective from September 30, 2026. His term will last until March 17, 2029, succeeding Irène Luc.
Xavier Blanc has an extensive legal background, having served in various judicial roles, including as a judge at the Paris Court of Appeal and the French Supreme Court. His experience spans economic and financial litigation, making him a valuable addition to the Board.
Muriel Lacoue-Labarthe has also been reappointed to the Board. She is a senior judge at the French Court of Auditors and has been a non-permanent member since May 2025. Her reappointment reflects her ongoing contributions to the authority.
The Board of the Autorité de la concurrence consists of 17 members, including judges, professors, and economic leaders, who provide diverse perspectives on competition law matters.
