On March 23, 2026, the Greek Competition Authority (E.A.) issued Decision No. 904/2026 regarding the acquisition of exclusive control of LOGFLEX MT HOLDING LIMITED (Novibet) by ALLWYN INTERNATIONAL AG (Allwyn). This merger was notified to the E.A. in January 2025 under Article 6, paragraph 1 of Law 3959/2011.

The report from the responsible rapporteur highlighted that the merger could significantly hinder effective competition in the affected markets, particularly in online betting and casino games. The merger was seen as potentially strengthening Allwyn's dominant position and eliminating competitive pressures from Novibet, which had been a significant competitor.

Despite Allwyn's attempts to propose corrective measures to address competition concerns, the rapporteur concluded that these measures were insufficient. In March 2026, Allwyn formally withdrew its merger notification, leading the E.A. to unanimously decide that the examination of the merger was no longer necessary.
