A recent inspection of bedding products in Poland found significant discrepancies in material composition and labeling, affecting half of the tested items.

The Polish competition authority conducted an extensive inspection of 910 batches of bedding products, including sheets, pillowcases, and bedspreads. Out of these, 123 batches were further analyzed in a laboratory setting.

The results were concerning, with 50% of the examined products showing irregularities. These included discrepancies between the declared material composition or size and the actual product specifications.

Additionally, 6% of the batches had labeling errors, such as missing information about the material composition, foreign language fiber names, or size inconsistencies. Consumers are advised to check the composition of bedding products to ensure they do not contain any allergens or irritating substances.
