The Trade Inspection Authority inspected 10 solid fuel boilers up to 500 kW to ensure compliance with EU eco-design requirements, focusing on environmental impact reduction throughout the product lifecycle.
The inspection included verifying documentation, labeling, and conducting laboratory tests on thermal efficiency, harmful emissions, and safety aspects. Consumers are advised to consider fuel type, heating area size, and future operating costs when purchasing a boiler.
The inspection revealed that 4 out of 10 boilers had irregularities, with 2 models failing efficiency requirements. Corrective actions are required for boilers with formal errors, such as incomplete documentation.
Consumers are advised to check the manufacturer's information, CE marking, and engage authorized professionals for boiler installation and servicing. Meanwhile, the Main Building Supervision Office is also conducting checks on solid fuel room heaters.
