Latvian University will host a conference focusing on calculating damages for competition law violations and implementing the principle of full compensation in practice.

Latvian University will host a conference on September 20 dedicated to competition law, in collaboration with the European Law Institute's Competition Law Interest Group and with the support of the Competition Council and the law firm RASNAČS.

The conference will feature sessions on private enforcement of the Digital Markets Act, quantification of damages in competition claims, the economics of private enforcement, compensation for abusive dominance in Latvia, and obtaining evidence from competition authority files for damage claims.

Speakers include experts from the European University Institute, Geradin Partners, RBB Economics, KIRKLAND & ELLIS INTERNATIONAL II LLP, and SIA RASNAČS, covering various aspects of competition law and damages calculation.

The event is open to all interested parties and will take place at Raina Boulevard 19, in the conference hall of the Faculty of Law at Latvian University.
