The Czech competition authority, led by Chairman Petr Mlsna, has confirmed the existence of a cartel agreement between Taxi Praha s.r.o. and FIX, spol. s r.o. regarding taxi services at Václav Havel Airport in Prague. This decision comes after the companies coordinated their business activities from 2019 to 2021, including service offerings, pricing, and sharing sensitive commercial information.

Both companies aimed to eliminate competition among themselves, which was contrary to the competitive environment expected by the airport's management when they awarded the taxi service contract in 2016. The contract was initially set for 2017-2021 but was extended to 2023.

This case marks the second review by the authority, as the initial decision was annulled in late 2024 due to lack of clarity. Following a new decision in December 2025, appeals were filed, particularly concerning the fine's amount. The authority recognized FIX's compliance with settlement conditions and reduced its fine to 7,820,000 CZK, while Taxi Praha's fine remained at 950,000 CZK due to non-compliance.
