The Italian Competition Authority has concluded proceedings against five energy companies for making unilateral changes in electricity and gas supply prices. As a result, nearly 600 thousand consumers and micro-enterprises will receive compensations totaling approximately EUR 128 million.

In a related enforcement activity, the Authority imposed fines exceeding EUR 15 million on six energy companies in October, benefiting 4.5 million consumers and micro-enterprises. Additionally, eight companies avoided proceedings by not implementing the unilateral price changes they had previously announced.
