The Bundeskartellamt, Germany's competition authority, is currently reviewing the acquisition of full ownership and control over KIND GmbH & Co. KG and audifon GmbH & Co. KG by Demant Stiftung as part of its merger control process.

As part of this investigation, the authority has launched a survey targeting numerous hearing aid companies. The surveyed companies will receive a request for information via mail, which is a standard procedure in such merger assessments.
