The CNMC has imposed a fine of €80,000 on Cemesa Amarres Barcelona and Mooring & Port Services for failing to comply with commitments made in 2021 when they created Amarres de Barcelona.

Cemesa Amarres Barcelona and Mooring & Port Services have been fined €80,000 by the CNMC for breaching commitments made in 2021 when they created Amarres de Barcelona. The companies were required to maintain competition in the port by not worsening commercial conditions and not increasing prices for mooring and unmooring services. They also failed to provide the CNMC with the necessary information to verify their compliance with these commitments in a timely manner. The CNMC considers this a serious violation under the Competition Defense Law and has imposed the fine accordingly.
