The CNMC has approved modifications to specific operational procedures of the electricity system, namely P.O. 3.1, P.O. 3.2, and P.O. 7.2, due to urgent operational reasons.

These changes aim to increase the tools available to the system operator to strengthen supply security in the event of sudden voltage variations.

After analyzing comments from stakeholders, the CNMC has made adjustments to some of the proposed measures to limit their potential impact.

The modifications will be in effect for an initial period of 30 days, extendable up to a maximum of 3 months, during which the CNMC will continuously monitor the impact of these measures on the electricity market's proper functioning.
