The Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC) has approved a total of thirteen concentration operations during December, with some operations requiring further analysis in a second phase.

Among the approved operations, Forus Deporte y Ocio, S.L.U. acquired exclusive control of Inacua Centros Deportivos, S.L.U., which manages multiple sports facilities in Spain. The CNMC determined that this acquisition would not hinder competition due to the diverse range of operators in the market.

Another notable acquisition was by Kiloutou España S.A., which took control of Maquinaria Venta y Alquiler Norte, S.L. (MVA Norte). The CNMC found that this operation would not significantly alter the market structure for construction machinery rental in La Rioja.

Euromaster Automoción y Servicios, S.A.U. also acquired Nex Tyres, S.L., with the CNMC concluding that this transaction posed no competitive threat as it involved a transfer of shares between existing partners.

VIA Outlets' acquisition of The Outlet Stores Alicante was approved without concerns, as there were no significant overlaps in their operations.

In the healthcare sector, Grupo Ribera Salud's acquisition of Clínica Gaias Lugo was subjected to a second phase due to potential competition risks, particularly in diagnostic imaging services. The CNMC required commitments from the acquirer to mitigate these risks before granting approval.

Additionally, the CNMC initiated a second phase for three operations involving Grupo Baleària, indicating ongoing scrutiny of these transactions.
