The Polish competition authority has recently completed an inspection of 20 models of hair styling devices, including dryers, curling irons, and straighteners. The inspection aimed to assess the safety and compliance of these products with relevant regulations.
All tested devices passed laboratory tests, demonstrating safe construction, moisture resistance, and protection against overheating and electric shock. This indicates a high level of safety in the majority of the products reviewed.
However, the authority identified formal errors in four cases, which included issues such as poorly prepared documentation, missing instructions, and inadequate labeling. These findings highlight the importance of compliance with regulatory standards in product documentation.
Małgorzata Cieloch, the spokesperson for the Polish competition authority, emphasized the need for manufacturers to ensure that their products not only meet safety standards but also adhere to proper documentation practices.
