On July 24, 2025, the Greek competition authority unanimously approved the acquisition of joint control by Diorama Investments II RAIF, S.C.A. (DIORAMA II) and VAPAD LTD (VAPAD) over GLOBALSAT, GLOBALSAT CYPRUS, and GLOBALSAT ENERGIS. This decision was made during a session of the Competition Commission.
The companies involved in this concentration operate in diverse sectors within Greece, with no horizontal overlaps or vertical connections between them. GLOBALSAT primarily focuses on the distribution of electrical and electronic devices, while the controlling entity, DIORAMA II, is engaged in various markets including agricultural product processing, food, brewing, paper packaging, cosmetics, and cybersecurity consulting services.
Based on the evidence presented, the authority found no diagonal effects arising from the merger. Consequently, the Competition Commission approved the concentration under Article 8(3) of Law 3959/2011, concluding that it does not raise serious doubts regarding its compatibility with competition requirements in the relevant markets.
