The GVH initiated a probe into Notino, a company registered in the Czech Republic, for allegedly displaying prices of discounted products in a misleading manner and using pre-checked 'check-box' fields during the purchasing process.

Additionally, Notino is accused of employing 'dark patterns' to influence consumer behavior, such as pre-selecting environmentally friendly packaging and shipment insurance options by default.

The GVH emphasizes the importance of complying with pricing rules and fair communication practices, warning against deceptive tactics that hinder informed decision-making by consumers.
