On September 3, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Portuguese competition authority, known as AdC, made a significant decision regarding the merger between Crest and Cubotónic.

Utilizing its powers under the Competition Law, the authority adopted a non-opposition decision for concentration operation 65/2025. This decision indicates that the merger is not expected to create significant obstacles to effective competition within the national market or in a substantial part of it.

The approval reflects the authority's assessment that the merger will not adversely affect market dynamics, allowing Crest and Cubotónic to proceed with their business integration without further regulatory hurdles.
