The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has officially submitted its budget request to Congress for the Fiscal Year 2027. This request is part of the President’s overall budget proposal for the federal government.

The FTC is seeking a total of $426.71 million along with 1,183 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions to support its operations in the upcoming fiscal year. This budget request is crucial for the Commission to continue its work in enforcing competition laws and protecting consumer rights.

Additionally, the budget request includes the Annual Performance Report for FY 2025 and the Annual Performance Plan for FY 2026 and FY 2027. These documents are submitted in compliance with the GPRA Modernization Act of 2010, which mandates federal agencies to report on their performance and future plans.

The Commission's vote to release these documents was unanimous, with a 2-0 decision.
