The Portuguese competition authority, known as AdC, has issued a non-opposition decision regarding merger 91/2024, which involves Luz Saúde and C2 Capital Partners, along with GHB and Infrapetagi.
On May 30, 2025, the Board of Directors of the AdC exercised its powers under the Competition Law to approve the merger. The decision was based on the assessment that the merger would not create significant impediments to effective competition in the national market or in a substantial part of it.
This approval indicates that the AdC found no substantial concerns regarding market dominance or anti-competitive effects arising from the merger, allowing the involved parties to proceed with their plans without further regulatory hurdles.
