On October 16, 2026, the Slovak competition authority (PMÚ) commenced two administrative proceedings concerning possible cartel agreements among companies operating in the advertising and marketing sectors.
The proceedings are based on suspicions of coordinated pricing for services and the exchange of sensitive business information.
Prior to these proceedings, the PMÚ conducted unannounced inspections and gathered evidence suggesting potential agreements on recommended prices and the sharing of sensitive commercial data.
It is important to note that the initiation of these proceedings does not imply that the businesses have violated competition rules, nor does it prejudge the conclusions that the PMÚ may reach in its final decision.
