The Estonian competition authority has released its report for the year 2025, detailing significant trends in the electricity and gas markets. The average electricity price in Estonia for 2025 was recorded at 80.39 €/MWh, which represents a 7.9% decrease from the 2024 average of 87.27 €/MWh.

In contrast, the average gas price on the Baltic EEX gas exchange for 2025 was 39.59 €/MWh, marking a 6.7% increase compared to the previous year. This indicates a divergence in pricing trends between electricity and gas markets.

Throughout 2025, the highest average electricity price was observed in February, reaching 151.85 €/MWh. The peak price occurred on October 20, 2025, between 8:15 and 8:30, hitting an extraordinary 1051.32 €/MWh. Conversely, the lowest price was recorded on June 14, 2025, at -21.71 €/MWh during the hour of 15:00 to 16:00.

Additionally, the weighted average network fee for distribution networks at the end of 2025 was 4.57 cents/kWh, which is a 3.2% increase from the previous year. This report is part of the authority's ongoing oversight of competition in various sectors, including electricity, gas, and other utilities.
