The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) has granted approval for the merger between Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. and JDE Peet’s N.V. This merger will result in Keurig Dr Pepper gaining exclusive control over JDE Peet’s.

The companies involved are significant players in the coffee and beverage industry. Keurig Dr Pepper focuses on the production and sale of beverages, including coffee preparation systems, while JDE Peet’s specializes in the production, marketing, and distribution of coffee and tea products.

The authority assessed the transaction under a simplified procedure and concluded that the merger would not lead to a substantial distortion of competition in the relevant markets. The decision is final and binding.
