The Czech competition authority, Úřad pro ochranu hospodářské soutěže (ÚOHS), has granted approval for GEOSAN INVESTIČNÍ a.s. to acquire the construction company VISTORIA CZ a.s. This decision was made under a simplified procedure and is now legally binding.

GEOSAN INVESTIČNÍ is a holding company leading a business group that includes several companies operating in the Czech and Slovak markets, such as GEOSAN GROUP, a.s., Hutní montáže, a.s., and VÁHOSTAV, a.s.

VISTORIA CZ operates in the Czech Republic's construction sector, primarily focusing on residential and family house construction, as well as public infrastructure projects. The company is also involved, albeit to a limited extent, in civil engineering, particularly in the construction of cable tunnels and collectors.

In its assessment, ÚOHS examined the fields of ground and civil engineering construction and the rental of construction equipment. The authority concluded that the merger does not raise concerns about significantly hindering competition, leading to its approval.
